Meals on Wheels

Cobb Services donates to ‘Meals On Wheels’ several times a year. If you would like to help us give to ‘Meals On Wheels’ you can do so by clicking the donate button.

‘Meals On Wheels’ is always looking for volunteer. If you would like to become a volunteer for ‘Meals On Wheels’ you can do so by filling out their forum. (Meals On Wheels Forum)

The Cobb County Meals On Wheels program uses what I call “Kroger” bags – but could be the thin plastic (used but clean) bags from any store – to place the meals in to deliver to those needing assistance. They are constantly in a short supply of these bags and rely on donations to have what they need for the program. Thus, if anyone could donate their gently used, clean bags to the Cobb County Senior Center – they would greatly appreciate it! I know we are all short on time and money – however, this is a basic (yet incredibly helpful) way to help those in our community!

They are also looking for volunteers to service all parts of Cobb county in meal delivery (but especially the Austell/Powder Springs/Mableton area). For more information on volunteering for this cause, please call the Volunteer and Advocacy Program Specialist, Terri McClellan, at 770-528-1447.
